Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026

The Short Version

Spendline processes your financial data on your device. It is never sent to our servers, because we don't have any. Anything we do collect (subscription status, anonymous device identifier) goes to RevenueCat for managing your subscription.

You can delete everything by deleting the app. You can email us to request a copy of what we hold or to ask us to erase it. We will respond within 30 days.

1. Who we are

Spendline ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Denis Mozhayko, a sole-trader independent developer based in the United Kingdom.

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Denis Mozhayko is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use the Spendline iOS app.

How to contact us

Data Controller: Denis Mozhayko

Address: 14 Gadwall Close, United Kingdom

Email: denimozh@gmail.com

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how Spendline collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our iOS application. It applies to all users of the Spendline iOS app, including users in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

This policy does not cover third-party services that you may also use (such as Apple's services, your bank, or your card provider). Those services have their own privacy policies.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Data you enter into the app

When you use Spendline, you provide information including:

This data is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to Spendline servers, because Spendline does not operate any servers that receive your financial data.

3.2 Data from Apple FinanceKit (future feature)

Spendline plans to integrate with Apple's FinanceKit framework in a future update. When this feature launches and you choose to enable it, Spendline will request permission to read transaction and balance information from accounts you have connected to Apple Wallet.

FinanceKit data is processed entirely on your device. It is not transmitted to Spendline servers or to any third party. You may revoke FinanceKit access at any time through your device Settings.

3.3 Subscription data via RevenueCat

To manage your Spendline Premium subscription, we use RevenueCat, Inc. (a service provider based in the United States). RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat does not receive your financial data, your name, your email, or your transaction history. It only handles subscription state.

RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

3.4 Apple App Store data

When you purchase a Spendline subscription, Apple processes the payment. We receive only the information Apple makes available to developers: country of purchase, currency, anonymised transaction identifier. We do not receive your payment details, your full Apple ID, or your contact information.

Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

3.5 What we do not collect

We do not collect:

4. How we use your data

We use the data you enter into Spendline solely to provide the app's features on your device:

We use subscription data via RevenueCat solely to verify whether you have an active Spendline Premium subscription and to manage the trial, renewal, and cancellation process.

5. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

The legal basis on which we process your personal data depends on the data:

6. Data retention

On-device data: retained on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Spendline does not impose any retention period because we never receive the data.

Subscription data via RevenueCat: retained for as long as your subscription is active, plus 7 years for accounting and tax purposes as required by UK law.

7. International transfers

RevenueCat is based in the United States. When subscription data is transmitted to RevenueCat, this constitutes an international transfer of personal data. We rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable, and on RevenueCat's Standard Contractual Clauses for any transfers not covered by the framework.

8. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at denimozh@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Most data is held only on your device — you can exercise the right to erasure for that data simply by deleting the app.

9. Security

Because financial data is processed on your device, it benefits from the security model of iOS itself, including device encryption, biometric authentication, and the App Sandbox. Spendline does not transmit your financial data over the internet.

Subscription data sent to RevenueCat is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. RevenueCat is independently audited for security (SOC 2 Type II certified).

10. Children's data

Spendline is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Spendline, contact us and we will delete any associated subscription record.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

ICO contact details:
Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
Telephone: 0303 123 1113
Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF

We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you approach the ICO. Please contact us first if possible.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at getspendline.com/privacy.html. Significant changes will be communicated in the app via an in-app notice the next time you open it.
